Brett’s Gifts & The Enchanted Academy was born in 2019 in honour of our son, Brett, who passed away at just 18. What began as a small, family-run shop soon became a much-loved destination for crystals, gifts, and a touch of everyday magic.
After closing our cosy Leicestershire store in February 2024 to relocate to the Devon coast, we chose to follow Brett’s legacy in a new way — by bringing our magic online.
Today, Brett’s Gifts continues to thrive through:
✨ The Enchanted Academy — our online school, where teachers from across the spiritual and holistic world share courses, circles, and gatherings filled with wisdom, laughter, and connection.
✨ Storytelling Crystals — a unique blend of crystal energy and narrative, turning each stone into a magical companion with its own tale to tell.
✨ Because of Brett — our dedicated grief section, including Sarah Woodier’s book and support resources for those navigating loss.
Everything we do is guided by love, community, and the belief that even in the hardest moments, magic and meaning can still be found.
Then ....Our Original Story
Bretts Gifts was established in 2019.
The store is in honour of our Son, Brett, who died following a courageous 5 year battle with leukaemia, aged only 18.
Brett was a real entrepreneur, a Del Boy\Alan Sugar in the making, he even ran a business from his hospital bed buying and selling items.
He was a vibrant, energetic, fun loving boy who loved everyone. He was funny and adored life.
Brett had a strange knack of being able to find quirky and unusual gifts for people which planted the seeds for the shop we have today, we always ask ourselves if Brett would have liked it.
We are delighted to be a real eccentric gift shop.
It’s hard to list what we sell because it changes daily. We stock one off pieces for the home that are highly unusual. Such as our car seat chair with working headlights, giant peg bench and the animal tables.
We love both, true fair trade from abroad and locally sourced products from artists and craftsmen around us.
We have gifts for all your friends and family, and even for that extra special one, who is you. X
